Fun In The Sun!

On the 25th of May the club held its annual Fun Day! Organised by Elaine Chuter and her social team the club was extremely busy the whole day. Along with numerous stalls and sideshows we also had 2 live performers in the main marquee.

The local 10 piece Ukulele band entertained the crowd for the first hour with a huge range of popular songs all played out on their Ukuleles. Later we had a repeat visit from the famous Gary Cook who wowed everyone with some great songs including Michael Buble, Tom Jones and Stevie Wonder.

Lots of visitors including the local Mayor enjoyed a ride out on one of our club ribs to get a taste of being out on a boat. The rides were extremely popular and hopefully some of the visitors will decide to explore joining the boating world very soon. Please contact Lorraine Carter if you want to know more.

The bar and the galley were busy all day serving cold drinks and hot food. All in all this was a great day to showcase the club and the facilities we have on offer for those that want to be a part of the boating community on Canvey Island.
