Cadets

Welcome to the Cadet Section of the Club's website.  The Island Yacht Club run the cadets for the benefit of our children, in the hope they will develop the same love of the sea and enjoyment of sailing as we do ourselves. Our emphasis on cadets sailing is on gaining confidence, improving their sailing and having fun within a structured and safe environment.  

The club takes safety very seriously and ensures at all times the cadet activities are taking place in a safe environment. Our safety boats are in the water on cadet days and are operated by fully trained boat drivers. The Cadets are headed by Lorraine Carter who can be contacted at lorrainecarter7@icloud.com.
