    Childrens Christmas Party 14th December

    Come along and meet Father Christmas who will have a present for every child ages 3 - 10 years. The cost is free for members and just £5 for non members. The galley will also be open. Please add the childrens names/ages to the board in reception.

    Bonfire Night 2nd November

    On the 2nd of November the club will be holding our biggest ever annual Bonfire Night party. Doors open at 5pm with a spectacular fireworks display, hot food and a DJ!

    New Buoys Around The Point

    The creek team have updated and replaced the buoys around The Point. The buoys and locations are on the attached chart. The cockle banks have become very large as you can see in the pictures. The route around The Point keeps boats clear of them.

    The Coastwatch Canvey Island 30th Anniversary

    Coastwatch Canvey Island who are based at the Island Yacht Club passed on their 30th anniversary flag on the 6th of August to Coastwatch Southend. Many members of the current watch team were joined by Mayor Lynsey McCarthy-Calvert, Cllr Peter May, Cllr Sheridan Sayes, Ray Howard, Rebecca Harris MP and Dan Blamey from the Coastguard. The club was represented by Vice Commodore Ken Hawkins, Elaine Chuter and Teresa Chuter. Southend Lifeboat collected the flag and

    Cabaret Night With Comedy Impressonist & DJ

    Come along for a great night of impressions, jokes and music. Drew Cameron from Britains got talent will be performing his world famous show.     Inter Club Challenge Trophy

    The Inter Club Challenge Trophy is taking place on Sunday 28th July 2024. The race also includes the Southend On Sea Cup and the Inter Club Team Race. All locally rated bona fide cruiers are eligiable to take part. The entrance fee is £10 and can be paid by downloading the attached form and entering the race. Prizes will be awarded at the Inter Club awards in the autumn. Good luck to anyone from IYC

    Fun In The Sun!

    On the 25th of May the club held its annual Fun Day! Organised by Elaine Chuter and her social team the club was extremely busy the whole day. Along with numerous stalls and sideshows we also had 2 live performers in the main marquee.  The local 10 piece Ukulele band entertained the crowd for the first hour with a huge range of popular songs all played out on their Ukuleles.     Fishing Competition 2024

    This years fishing competition is on the 29th of June 2024. High water is at 06.54 and the compettion starts at 7am. Return to the yacht club at 6.30pm and make your way to the clubhouse for prizes, drinks and burgers. Prizes for the biggest Bass, Skate and Smoothound. Only IYC boats allowed but non members can participate. £25 entry fee per person. Entry forms to Paul Wood

    What An Eggtastic Day!

    What a fantastic day for the children organised by Elaine and her team. The day started with a lovely childrens lunch followed by crafts and then everyone went outside to the clubhouse gardens for the races. During the afternoon the children embarked on the Easter egg hunt searching every inch of the club. Then the surprise visitor arrived! The Easter Bunny! But who is the Easter Bunny? Nobody knows...but make sure you come again
