Social Event 2024

The Island Yacht Club has year round social events from the formal Annual Dinner and Dance to the more casual and family friendly Summer BBQs. The Club main bar and dining area has outstanding views of The River Thames that provide a striking backdrop to our social events.  There are a large number of organised social events and these include the Christmas Dinner and Dance, the Laying-Up Supper, as well as the Children's Christmas Party for the younger members. 

The annual social programme complements the sailing events and provides plenty of opportunities for sailors of all styles to meet in a relaxed atmosphere. During the summer we have our famous Summer Festival where we a fantastic full day of events. Local businesses come along and display all their poducts. Local shanty groups come and perform where everyone is invited to join in!

The local childrens entertainers come and perform good old fashioned show like Punch & Judy. Food is served all day from The Galley and our bar is open to members and visitors to enjoy their day out.
