Fun Day - From The Commodore

From The Commodore - Thank you to everyone that made the Cadet Open Day and Fun Day a huge success and was enjoyed by everyone that attended the yacht club. This was made possible by over 30 club and committee members organising the event from erecting the marquee, cutting the grass, doing risk reports, getting the dinghies and ribs ready. promoting the event, managing the car park and the front desk, having applications forms and information about the club to hand, setting up the bar, galley, tombola - the list is endless.

Both the bar and galley did very well, a big thank you to the staff.

Thank you to both the RNLI hovercraft and the Coastguard for visiting.

As a club we pulled it off with over 40 people, mostly children having their first time on the water. Some may have got a little wet but to see the smiles on their faces when they walked up the pontoon made it very worthwhile. 

Hopefully the club will gain some new cadets from the event.
